Our Favourite Coffee Gift Ideas Under $100

To make your gift buying easier for your favourite coffee fans in your life, I’ve got a couple lists of gifts for coffee lovers for under $100.
Because, let’s be honest, you can start dropping some serious cash on coffee gear easily if you want to. That’s why a list like this of ‘reasonably’ priced gift recommendations, can help the casual observer still get a wonderful gift that a coffee lover or in some instances a ‘coffee connoisseur’ will appreciate.
While putting together this list, I reached out to a couple friends on Instagram to get their recommendations as well.

The Very Versatile Aeropress
If you’re coffee aficionado friend enjoys brewing with the Aeropress, these are couple great idea’s for them. And if they haven’t given it a shot, it’s a wonderfully versatile addition to any coffee lovers roster of coffee makers. Josh from Canadian Coffee Adventures had it atop his list as well.

One of the more rugged, and versatile manual coffee makers out there. It’ll blow your mind how simple and quick the process is. Definitely a must for any Coffee Lovers brewing roster.

Able Disk Combo Set (Standard & Fine) Metal Aeropress Filter – $35 – Available at Eight Ounce
Brewing with any manual method usually requires paper filters, but give you can give them the gift of never running out of filters by gifting them a reusable filter. This reusable filter takes away any paper taste, and will help them enjoy that cup of coffee even more.
Fellow Prismo for Aeropress – an attachment to pull a shot via an Aeropress – $36 – Available at Eight Ounce
Another one for the Aeropress brewer in your life. This accessory allows them to brew espresso shots with their Aeropress, turning it into a portable & manual espresso maker. Combine this with the Hario hand frother, and they’ve got the potential to make a nice latte without an espresso machine. This can also be used for cold brew coffee too.

All Things Hario
Hario is famous for their V60 Pour Over manual brewing system. If the coffee fan in your life hasn’t added one to their collection, then it comes highly recommended.

This classic manual pour over coffee maker is a staple for most coffee lovers roster of ways to make coffee (be sure to pickup hario v60 coffee filters for it as well).

We prefer the brown filters, when choosing between them and the standard white. These have less of a paper taste, and are naturally cleaner as they haven’t been bleached like their white counterparts.

Complete the Hario V60 Kit with the 600ml server, which is especially helpful if they like to make coffee for more than themselves.

Books & Coffee A Great Combo!
Books on Coffee always make for a great gift, and make for an interesting book on the coffee table. Here’s a couple to get for the Coffee Lover in your life, if they don’t have them already.
The Coffee Dictionary by Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood – $28 – Available at Eight Ounce
This may be more for you than for them, but you can skim through it before giving it to get your terms down. And they can hand it to the new coffee drinkers in their life to read up.

A staple in most coffee geeks library, and for good reason, James Hoffman is one of the most respected coffee experts in the industry. This book will take your coffee lover on a coffee tour of the world.

This is the Coffee brewing hack the coffee lover in your life doesn’t know they need. It allows for a lot more precise pouring of water for their pour over brewers. You will blow their mind with this one.

Low key, this is one of our favourite home brewing systems. It’s easy, and consistently delivers wonderful cup of coffee. Most people who come into the Café and pick one up, when they return to pick up more coffee beans, they regularly let us know how much they like it.

Fellow Mighty Small Glass Carafe – $38 – Available at Eight Ounce
If you want to give a unique coffee experience, especially if they’re brewing for more than one person at a time, this is a wonderful accessory to their coffee brewing station.

As you go farther and farther down the rabbit hole of gifts for your coffee lover, you’ll find there are numerous ways to manually brew coffee. Keep this list handy for every special occasion. They’ll always love a new brewer. The Timemore is crystal, and if they’re into Instagram, it’ll look great in their coffee making shots.
Saint Anthony Industries F70 Dripper – $40 – Available at Eight Ounce
This is one of the more forgiving pour over drip brewers to get them even closer to the perfect cup. If your shopping for someone new to the scene, this will not only look unique in their coffee corner, but also produce wonderful cups of coffee even if they’re less experienced.

This one is for those that love the pour over, especially the V60 type. If you’re coffee lover has that setup at home, this will give them a new experience, and way of making coffee with their same brewer. Plus they can coffee geek out on it all the while making a tasty cup of coffee.

You’ll have to understand what level of coffee lover you are buying for. But if they enjoying cupping (tasting) different coffees brewed at the same time, this is for them. The dipper is a cupping spoon to let them enjoy the process.
This coffee spoon would make for a nice stocking stuffer.

Another idea that helps the coffee drinker in your life cup aka taste test different coffees at once, it’s a unique coffee mug specifically for this purpose. Ideally you’d pick up 3 of these to let them have a nice variation to taste test from.
