Question: Can I use espresso beans for pour-over coffee?
Ans: Absolutely. There is no technical difference between “espresso” and “filter” beans—it’s all about the roast profile and the grind size. Espresso beans are often roasted slightly darker or developed differently, so you might find your pour-over has a bit more body and intensity. Just be sure to use an appropriate grind – coarser than you would for an espresso machine.
Question: What does the bar below the tasting notes mean?
Ans: That bar is a visual indicator of the coffee’s roast profile, representing the spectrum of roast level, from light to dark, reflected in the balance of acidity and body. It helps you quickly identify if a coffee leans toward a bright, citrusy profile or an intense, chocolatey one.
Question: Are your coffees flavoured?
Ans: We do not use flavourings or additives. The “tasting notes” you see on our bags (like blueberry, caramel, or stone fruit) refer to the unique, naturally occurring flavours derived from the coffee’s inherent quality – it’s origin, processing method, and roast profile.
Question: How is your coffee decaffeinated?
Ans: We prioritize quality and health. Our decaf is processed using the Sugarcane E.A. Process, which removes caffeine gently while preserving the complex flavours of the bean, all without the use of harsh chemicals. You can also know more about the process from here!
Question: Should I put my coffee in the fridge or freezer?
Ans: Actually, we don’t recommend it. Coffee is porous and will absorb moisture, odors, and flavours from your fridge or freezer, which can ruin the taste. For the best experience, store your beans in the resealable valved bag they came in, or if you prefer, an airtight or vacuum container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Question: How does coffee subscription work?
Ans: Our subscription service makes sure you never forget to order our fresh roast coffee. You choose your preferred coffees and frequency and we’ll ship or deliver them them directly to your door at the beginning of the month. Pause, skip, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account login or by getting in touch with us by email or phone.
Question: Do you serve coffee?
Ans: Yes! We are proud to serve our fresh roast in the espresso bar on-site. Come by the shop to try our current fave, rotating regularly.
Question: Do you have tables for sitting?
Ans: Yes, we have a small seating area where you can enjoy your brew, but we do not have a full cafe menu. Please feel free to drop to pick up your beans, grab a coffee, and have a chat with our team!
