This is a washed Colombian coffee from the Timaná sub-region of Huila. Expect a coffee with a smooth and juicy mouth feel and a hint of chocolate in the aftertaste.
Timaná is located in between the two main branches of the Colombian Andes which provides excellent weather patterns for growing coffee. Huila is located in the southern portion of Colombia close to the Andes mountains. Centered around the city of Pitalito, Huila’s coffee farms are small, farmer owned properties average 2.5 Hectares.
Huila’s departmental coffee committee has invested notable resources into training its coffee producers, created an exceptional regional culture of quality-focused production. Farmer education has improved everything from fertilization, harvesting, attentive processing, and careful post-harvest sorting which all contribute to increasingly quality focused recognition of the region.
